The Project Accountant assists and supports the project team by maintaining accurate and complete accounting records.  The position works under direct supervision and gathers and distributes information.  The Project Accountant must be a team player and have strong organizational and accounting skills. 

What You’ll Do:

· Preparation and submission of invoices for assigned project

· Review and process subcontractor applications of payment and general condition invoices for payment

·Data entry, including owner billings, subcontracts, change orders, purchase orders, and journal entries

· Maintain accurate monthly reporting, including job cost reports, Project Status Report , and general condition forecasting

· Monitor budget numbers

· Payment of general payables

· Assist in maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clients

·  Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment and Skanska Safety and Health Management Program


We’re Looking For:

· Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

· Broad understanding of industry

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent math skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Functions effectively as part of a team

· Dependability

· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

· Ability to understand and follow directions

· Good time management and organizational skills

· Associates Degree desired

· General understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices and cost accounting

· 2-4 years of accounting experience
