We currently have a vacancy for an Operations & Package Supervisor to assist in the establishment of an efficient and effective direct labour force in order to achieve a high standard of direct labour performance.
Working at Skanska as an Operations & Package Supervisor as part of our facilities team for the Estates Derby Hospitals, you will:
  • Assist the Maintenance Managers with planning and distributing the work to the team leaders and craftsmen within the user department priority.
  • Assist the Package Managers in delivering subcontractor packages.
  • Provide guidance and identify necessary training for craftsmen in order to develop additional skills to improve overall effectiveness.
  • Advise the Operations Manager on the effectiveness of PPM - additions, deletions or alterations.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Procurement Officer with the ordering of day to day replacement stock items and the ordering of specialist materials.
  • Assist the Operations Manager to carry out works contracts off site with his labour pool in an efficient manner.
  • Undertake AP duties in line with operational needs and core skill.
We’re looking for:
  • Knowledge of one or more mechanical/electrical/building skills, acquired through HNC/BTEC/C&G training course plus a recognised apprenticeship in one core skill, equivalent, or relevant trade experience.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in building services maintenance.
  • Hold qualifications and experience in associated engineering specialties such as ventilation, F Gas, UPS / IPS systems etc.
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • A Construction skill card or similar is required.
  • Experience of site & labour supervision.
