Operations Manager – Rail

Our Building Services Business is looking for an Operations Manager (Rail Infrastructure) to join the team in London to support and ensure that the MEP Works on one of our Major Projects is conducted in a safe and efficient manner throughout. This role will include Delivery and P&L Responsibilities.

You’ll look at:

• Programme managing the whole MEP project, liaising with the Civils team to ensure the integrated delivery of the project.
• A key element will be to maintain and control the team to address targeted KPI’s and completion of works.
• Assisting the wider programme team with interfaces and construction co-ordination
• Providing leadership to the project team and supply chain across a range of systems, planning works and provide reports to the Operations Manager on progress
• Migration of temporary services to a permanent installation in an operational Railway Station
• Directing the safe delivery of the works, in particular possession working
• Effective handover and assurance of the installation to the end user

We're looking for:

• Experience of delivering projects as an Operations Manager displaying leadership qualities to manage multiple projects in the future.
• Extensive client facing experience.
• Essential experience in Rail projects as a must,
• Good working knowledge of MEP systems and Safe Systems of Work related to Electrical and Mechanical systems and general construction
• Ability to identify problems, understand key issues and investigate alternatives
• Experience with Design and Build projects
• Ensure all works are carried out with statutory regulations, current standards and company quality assurance procedures.
• Self-motivated and confident with good communication skills
