In partnership with Barts Health NHS Trust, Skanska provides facilities management services to the Royal London Hospital.

 

As a Shift Team Leader at this large hospital, you will play a key part leading the 24 hour maintenance service shift team and supervising planned preventative maintenance, reactive, testing, repairs and new installation work covering a wide range of equipment, services, systems and buildings associated with the estate. Reporting to the Estates Officer, you will work 12 hour shifts over 4 days working pattern (x4 Days, x4 off, 4x Nights, 4 x Off etc.) and have line management responsibility for 5 Estates Maintenance Technicians.

In addition, you will manage specialist sub-contractors whilst on site, and assist with estimating for maintenance and new work when required.

 

You must be educated to at least Electrical NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, have a certificate in 17th/18th Edition IEE Regulation and hold an Approved/ Authorised Person status for at least one of the following disciplines – Low/High Voltage Systems, Boiler & Pressure Systems, Medical Gas and Confined Spaces. You will ideally have a recognised qualification in Health and Safety Commission Approved Code of Practice and Guidance for Legionella Control.’  (L8) and experience of working in hospital environment.
