This is a business unit wide role, based primarily in a lead operating unit with the aim of conducting the Skanska orchestra to build the right relationships with our key clients in a transparent and trustworthy way. Leading to longer term foresight, client satisfaction and a sustainable pipeline of work at 3%+. You will be working closely with the OU Preconstruction Directors and Operations Directors, facilitating success through others.

 

This will be primarily based in Maple Cross with UK Travel to service other Regions.  

 

You'll:    

  • Create a Key Account Plan and agree the short, medium and long term goals for your account (financial and non-financial)
  • Develop a small high performing, diverse team within an inclusive environment where people feel valued, challenged and rewarded
  • Lead the adoption of Salesforce, Key Account Management and Customer insights for your account
  • Champion better understanding of your customer to deliver a more predictable profitable future. Developing new business opportunities from aligned working and/or cross selling of Skanska’s global capability.
  • Define value for money with the customer, communicating, delivering and measuring progress.
  • Innovate with your customer, identifying and agreeing initiatives and targets with the customer for values based areas – Safety, Wellbeing, environment, HR, collaboration
  • Understand and influence current and future procurement, contract and delivery models that are successful for Skanska and the customer.
  • Introduce to Skanska an account culture driven to deliver a sustainable profit created by a satisfied customer.
  • Assimilate the data from customer feedback and identify messages and actions required.
  • Ensure all BU stakeholders follow a consistent message and process.
  • Establish the Skanska Key Account Management process and ensure this is followed.
  • Regularly use strategic tools to evaluate your account, its future direction (Porter, PESTLE, SWOT, Competitor analysis etc.)
  • Recognise that your success is your ability to collaborate with others, gather them behind a joint vision of success and deliver it through them

 

We're looking for:

 

  • Passion and experience of the Civil Infrastructure sector with a particular focus and understanding of Highways and Roads schemes/projects/clients.
  • Ability to understand a customer from Strategy through to aftercare.
  • An ability to collaborate across many levels and organisations
