EHS Manager

Education:
- University degree, technical preferred (environmental, health and safety)
Experience:
- 5+ years experience - responsibility for health and safety in construction and/or manufacturing company
Hard skills:

- Knowledge of the principles, rules and legal requirements of health and safety and the environment

- Knowledge of the construction industry specifics

- professional Czech, spoken and written

- English language knowledge - verbal communication, general writing and reading

- Certification “HS Coordinator on site” as per the section 10 of the Act no. 309/2006 Coll.

Soft skills:

- PC: Microsoft Office, Outlook, CAD software

- Driving license: B

- Accuracy, responsibility and self-reliance

 
Key responsibilities and activities:

- Works in accordance with Skanska's internal procedures and values.

- Ensures compliance with legal regulations concerning health & safety and the environment on

the project (regular inspections of the work on the projects, training, H&S Coordination by Act.

309/2006 Coll. ).

- Responsible for improving the health & safety standards on sites through initiatives for

improvement and response to deficiencies and potential accidents.

- Prepares, participates in the implementation and monitors Safety by Design (controls the correctness and completeness of documentation prepared, visual materials, ensures the appropriate signs on the site).

- Reports on the state of health and safety, examine the circumstances of the accidents and report on them as well as on potential accidents (near miss, IAN).

- Responsible for internal training regarding health and safety. Identifies and reports the training needs of workers in this field.

- Co-manages and promotes a culture of safety in Skanska (safety week,safety competitions, safety day).

- Contributes to creating organisational culture by, among other, promoting business objectives, supporting open communication, cooperation, knowledge and best practise sharing in Skanska with a particular focus on the spread of culture in dealing with the general contractor and subcontractors. Promotes Skanska’s values and code of conduct.

- Reports to Sustainability Director, has no direct reports.
