Change and Lifecycle Project Manager – M&E Facilities Management
 
Skanska provides hard and soft building related services for the Ministry of Defence at a large military site in North West London, together with significant capital works. We currently have a number of exciting permanent commercial career opportunities within this PFI contract.
As a Project Manager, you will deliver specific project management tasks as delegated by the Change Notice Manager or Lifecycle Manager in support of Change Notice Capital Works or Lifecycle Projects under the terms of the Northwood PFI contract.
 
Here are a few of the things you’ll be doing in the role:
 
  • Responsible for the delivery of the end to end capital works projects including preparation of scope, co-ordination of design requirements, engagement with designers and Client, tendering, selection of sub-contractors, setting to work, project management of works programme, commissioning & handover for Client acceptance
  • Responsible for supervision of staff and sub-contractors undertaking contract deliverables in accordance with the Skanska polices for delivery of Capital Works
  • Ensure that where appropriate the CDM 2015 regulations are applied
  • Ensure that all Temporary Works are planned and implemented in accordance with the relevant Skanska policies and procedures

  • Ensure that all tasks and works that require a Permit to Work (PTW) are planned and co-ordinated with all parties
  • Assist with regular reviews of the Lifecycle plan and update/amend as necessary to reflect any changes in the site assets
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks that may arise from time to time as required.
Here are a few of the experiences you may have which will help you be successful:
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in an electrical/ mechanical/ building services engineering discipline
  • Experience of managing and delivering complex multi-disciplinary building services and MEP project works
  • Knowledge of CAFM, BMS, Security systems and Fire safety engineering
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 and appropriate construction site safety training – desirable but not essential
  • Desirable but not essential - Experience in a similar role of complex building services in a military/critical environment including electrical distribution private networks up to 11KV and associated large standby generators and UPS systems, large air conditioning plant and mechanical ventilation, BMS and large gas fired multiple boiler installations
     
Due to the nature of the site, you must be capable of achieving the Client (MOD) security clearance minimum requirements. To achieve this, you must have continuously resided in the UK in the last 5 years. This requirement applies to both British and non-British subjects.
