We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our Building Services team in London to lead and implement BIM and digital engineering related tools.


The BIM manager will be involved with strategic planning and delivery of BIM and interfacing with other parts of the business. The BIM manager will lead the implementation of BIM and provide support all project stages including pre-construction/ work winning, the construction- and the handover/ completion phases. The role will require both office- and site-based attendance for project-focused BIM management and support to all of our ongoing construction projects by working with wider project team and trade sub-contractors as and when required.


You'll responsibilities will include:

  • Work with other parts of the Skanska organisation to promote best knowledge and a ‘One Skanska’ solution
  • Maintaining (and authoring) Skanska’s UK BIM procedures, templates and guidance in line with the company’s requirements
  • Be responsible for the implementation of BIM and Digital Engineering related tools
  • Responsible for defining BIM supply chain scopes
  • Work with ‘Facilities Management’ to understand graphical and non-graphical requirements
  • Develop in-house model libraries for use on projects
  • To remain in regular contact with technology suppliers
  • Provide support to our project team BIM expertise

The candidate will need to have a good understanding of:

  • Uniclass 2015 structure
  • COBie (Constructions, Operations, Buildings information exchange) and asset management

We're looking for:

  • Previous experience within a similar role on large scale and complex projects (with a background in MEPH Services)
  • Confidence in leading and implementing BIM and digital engineering tools within the construction industry including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks and Solibri, etc
  • Ability to engage and develop our project team BIM expertise
  • Ability to conduct constructability reviews, identify costly issues and undertake clash detection Competent in use of Common Data Environments, such as Viewpoint 4 Projects
  • Knowledge and experience of building regulations and planning approval process would be helpful
