Accounts Payable Administrator

The Accounts Payable Administrator assists and supports the accounting team with financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts. The Accounts Payable Administrator must work in a collaborative manner with co-workers and have strong organizational skills.


What You'll Do:

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail;
  • Scan, index, and route invoices for approval using Imaging/Workflow system;
  • Review invoices for proper coding to general ledger and job cost accounts;
  • Review invoices for proper sales tax calculation;
  • Review invoices for approval and supporting documentation;
  • Process employee expense reimbursements;
  • Process payments to subcontractors;
  • Respond to vendor inquiries;
  • Reconcile vendor statements; research and correct discrepancies;
  • Interface with jobsites and provide support as needed; assist with accruals;
  • Print, match, review, and mail checks;
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction;
  • Comply with internal controls and company policies;
  • Maintain filing of invoice payments and supporting documentation.

What We're Looking For: 

  • Knowledge of computer systems (eCMS and/or JD Edwards preferred), including Microsoft Office products;
  • Must have strong work ethic and professional attitude;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness;
  • Good time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;
  • Ability to understand and follow directions;
  • Associate degree or equivalent, courses in accounting preferred;
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction industry.
